The Black Goat Fire Damage Recovery

Hello, I’m Clayton Robertson owner of The Black Goat. We are a metaphysical store that has been located in Effingham, Illinois for almost three years now. We provide education, spiritual services, items for the craft and much more.

Wednesday evening we were hit with a terrible tragedy. The shop caught fire without explanation and completely burned down our community altar. We have lost almost all of our inventory and the community donations on the altar have also been lost.

There is lots of structural damage done to the shop as well as smoke damage. I’m unsure how much will be save able but it’s almost all completely damaged and unusable.

We would like to continue to be able to provide our services to the area for the future and continue to have our shop as a safe space for customers.

All of the funds donated will be used toward rebuilding the shop, cleanup costs, restocking, etc.
