The Bingles Are Moving to Arkansas

Sometimes, just around the time we think we're done with change and risk and attempting new things, God surprises us and opens the door to the next great adventure. That's coming true for our friends Ruth and Mark Bingle—who for years have dreamt about the possibility of a move to Arkansas to live life in close proximity to son Chad, his wife Serena and their sons—Ruth and Mark’s only grandchildren. 

One thing that started the clock on this move was a conversation with son-in-law Andrew (married to daughter Rachel) about what the move might entail, and ways to see it happen. Andrew and Rachel’s suggestions, coupled with those of Chad and Serena, suddenly made this move seemed possible! 

There are, obviously, lots of steps and much expense between life here and life there—selling two cars, buying a good used car, sifting through furnishings and preparing to downsize again, finding a place in Arkansas and paying deposits and several months' rent, hiring a moving company and more. The Bingles' good friends, Susie and Rick Beeney, have offered to drive Ruth and Mark cross-country and get them situated, so that's a big help. But if you have known the Bingles through the loss of their business, the loss of their home and more, you know that’s left little in reserve for an undertaking of this magnitude.
