Please Help Support The Biggars Family Through an Unexpected Medical Crisis

Around 3:30am on September 4th, my Aunt Michele was rushed to the hospital struggling to breathe. She was immediately placed on a ventilator and transferred to the ICU, where she remains in critical condition. Doctors have shared that she is fighting pneumonia, sepsis, and severe heart complications — her heart is currently only functioning at about 25%. Michele’s body is in a very fragile state, and she is enduring repeated episodes of dangerously high heart rates while heavily sedated.

Her wife, Kerri has been by her side every step of the way. Together they are raising five children — two young adults, Rikki and Torri, and three little ones still in elementary school. This crisis has turned their world upside down overnight.

With Michele unable to work and Kerri needing to be at the hospital, the family is facing a sudden loss of income. As a teacher, Kerri does not yet have PTO this school year, meaning every day she misses to be with Michele is unpaid. On top of that, their adult children are stepping in to help care for their younger siblings and spend time at the hospital — adding more strain and financial stress as they are missing work as well.
