So, What's the Challenge?
We are playing a 24-hour Walking Football Match! Kicking off at 5:00pm on Thursday 3rd September and finishing at 5:00pm on Friday 4th September.
What is walking football?
Walking football is a modified form of football where the players walk instead of run.
How will it work?
Players will rotate through to keep the play going for 24 hours
Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity has supported children and families across Scotland since 2001, helping to enhance care at Glasgow’s children’s hospital. Following the move from Yorkhill to the Royal Hospital for Children in 2015, the charity has continued its mission of providing life-changing support, investing over £30 million to improve the hospital experience for young patients and their families.
Saving and Rehoming Strays is a Scottish charity dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs from the UK and Europe, particularly Romania. Run mainly by volunteers, the charity provides kennel-free care to help dogs socialise and thrive while they wait for their forever homes. Relying on donations and supporter funding, they continue to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need.
The team are training as we speak and will be spurred on by the generosity of you all. Feel free to forward this onto anyone you think may wish to support and get in touch if you’d like to support in other ways.
