The Big Move: From Ga to Co

Donation protected
Whelp, this is it. Hi, my name is Ari and this is the Big Move. I have been a Georgia native all my life, from the time I was a kid up to now, I have never lived in another state outside of Georgia. This place is my home, and it will always be that warm safety blanket for me. However, I cannot thrive by being stagnant in one place. Combine that with the fact my current job, DoorDash, isn't making enough to cover what bills I do have, and my car finally giving up the ghost and having about a month left in it, I need to move. I am moving up there not just for a change of scenery but for a new job, one that pays more than enough to handle bills and then some. Yet, getting up there is proving to be a challenge.

With only having a car as a viable source of income for about a month, I am faced with the fact that I could use a bit of a helping hand getting from Georgia to Colorado. I have all of September to get everything ready for the big move in October, and I need all the help I can get for this. This move...it is important to me. Not just for getting out of this State, but so I can better my life and my possibilities. The South is rapidly becoming a poor place to be as a trans woman and I don't want to be here when things truly get worse if that is to pass. Colorado is more than just a new state with a new job, but is a new start for me.

Now, every bit of money given for this is going towards one of three things. One: Moving expenses. This would include things like U-Hauls, gas along the travel route, and other expenses incurred while getting to Colorado. Two: Taking care of bills here in Georgia. While I am currently working to reduce the number of bills I have to pay before moving, cutting out items I don't need, I still have bills that have to be paid. With your help and what money I can make from DoorDash, I'll be able to have a stable launching platform here in Georgia. Lastly, securing the apartment. As I said, I already have a job pinned down when I get up there, leaving securing the apartment as one of the last major components. Now I have already narrowed it down to at least four apartments that say they have vacancies when I arrive, so it is just a matter of being able to put the money forth for the application fees and, provided I get one, first and last month's rent.

I'm not just relying solely on the help of strangers for this. Even with my car near its end, I am still doing Door Dash to keep my income going until I can't anymore. I only have a month with this car left, as it is in no shape to pass an emissions test for a tag. So yeah, in a few dire straits. Even if you can't donate, please share this as much as you can. Pass it along to anyone you want, help spread the word. As I said, Colorado is a chance at a new life for me, I just need a bit more help getting there. I don't expect to see all of what I asked for, but even a little bit goes a long way. Thank you all!
