Last Thursday, during a routine check up at the nephrologist, I was told that my kidney had started to fail after only 3 years of transplant.

The doctors are going to put me on the list again and hope for the best, but since it’s going to be my fourth transplant, it’s gonna be a toughie. Basically they have to match the antibodies of this last kidney, plus the two previous transplants, and my own antibodies, to the new organ. So whereas a first time transplant patient only needs to match 1-1, in my case the match will have to be 4-1.

Last time I waited 7 years on dialysis trying to find a match, and I never lost hope.

This time, honestly, I feel exhausted and not at all ready for the fight ahead.

So, I'm asking for your help to assist me in raising money for one last big blowout banger of a vacation. I'm not sure where I'm going yet, but I'm hoping it will be memorable enough to keep me going!
