On Saturday June 16th, the Creekside apartment complex on Tonawanda Creek Rd in Lockport, NY had a five alarm fire, one of the worst that firefighters have seen. Our cousins Adam and Baleigh lived there, and had just left 30 minutes before seeing this news and returning back to see the damage.
They lost everything.
Thankfully no one who lived in the complex was hurt, but now 26 people have been displaced. This newlywed couple are in their twenties, working and going to college. Although no amount of money can replace their personal and sentimental items like her wedding dress, family heirlooms and childhood photo albums that were inside at the time of the fire, we thought we could help them start over by giving them funds to get some basic necessities in the meantime while they figure out their next steps.
