Mission Statement
It is our mission, as a collective cast and crew, to tell you a rousing, riotous, ridiculous story that tickles your funny bone and touches your heart. Through visually captivating cinematography, authentic, amusing performances, a bold, original soundtrack, and a sincere setting for a bona fide bachelor bash, you will be charmed by The Worst Best Man.
The Story
Beer bottles and bowties, college buddies and confetti, macho men and marriage quivers, a groom to be and no strippers? Charlie, the jealous best man, just won’t have it. He is determined to find exotic dancers for his best friend Will, but newspapers can be very misleading. Charlie accidentally orders a mime and magician instead of strippers.
Directors Statement
This film may seem like a high concept short with a goofy premise made by a kooky crew and cast-- and you’d be right-- but I’d be remissed if the message was muddled. The Worst Best Man is a love letter to everything I’ve learned at film school, and a tale of relationships and emotions from my past. It is my passion project that subverts the culture of bachelor parties, shows how outdated the traditions are, and offers a unique perspective on masculinity. The story may very well be based upon jealousies, friendships, and fallouts from my past, but it is my duty as an artist to tell the world something greater than the truth. This story is about what the truth taught me. Many may believe that relationships are measured in time or title, but I believe relationships are measured in sincerity, and that is the heart of this film. I sincerely hope you enjoy The Worst Best Man!
