The bereaved family of Scotty Simpson

Donation protected
On Thursday, January 27, 2022, my cousin Scott Patrick Simpson tragically lost his life. There are no words that could help fill the hole that has been left in the hearts of his loved ones.

Scotty was a son, a friend, a brother and most proudly, a father to his sweet daughter, Kali.

This brings me to why I created this GoFundMe. The funds raised will be given directly to the grieving Simpson family to open a trust account on behalf of Scotty's daughter. I hope together we can provide enough proceeds for her basic and immediate life needs. It is unimaginable how a 9-year-old will be able to process what has happened to her daddy, and it is my goal to try and alleviate some of the economic burdens that may be endured during & after the bereavement. Please consider making a gift in Scotty’s memory for the benefit of his daughter, Kali. I believe he would have wanted this, and of course, I appreciate any help you may be willing to provide.

Please continue to read the following short but hopefully illuminating paragraph detailing just a little of the depth and breadth of Scotty as I remember him best.

Scotty had weathered an exorbitant number of storms during his short but full life. Being through so much gave him an intuitive understanding of the onrushing of life’s incumbent struggles and when or where they may present themselves. This may have galvanized him against the worst of some of his hardships, but he was sensitive, intelligent and sweet under that armor. He was a free spirit; He did not conform to social norms. As a kid, he would challenge you with his wit, and man was he stubborn! He was fearless in that sense. Scotty lived his life on his terms. He listened but was wary of accepting advice. He lived in the present, and again, on his terms. Scotty had an innate sense of people, never judgmental. He was goofy and kind, respectful and insanely intelligent. The way he would put his thought to paper; as his sister Jordyn recently shared, is a testament to the depths of character that may have unfortunately been all too often overlooked.

Scotty was a creative – a true artist. A genuine original that's rarely encountered these days. I know that there is much more of Scotty’s story yet to be told and even more so to learn of him from those whom he touched throughout his life. In the weeks before his passing, Scotty truly stepped up to be there for his family when they needed him most, and for that, Scotty made us all so proud of him.

Scott Patrick Simpson died a man. He made us proud. I will remember him this way
