Update #1 - Thanks so much for all the awesome support. It’s so great to see so many people interested in showing their support for Ben. We have officially reached the $10,000 goal, which is AWESOME. Due to the overwhelming response in such a short time, I am increasing the goal to $25,000. I will continue talking to the Scholarship Team at PV to make sure that all the money gets put to good use, and will update everyone on those details.

Hello All,
My name is Jason Bell and I was a coworker of the beloved Ben Franklin Jr., who passed away on 03/08/2021.
Ben leaves behind his Mother (Karen Denise Wynne), his siblings (Delicia, Desmond, and Delvin), and leaves to join his Father (Ben Sr.) who passed away in 2013.
As a Texas Native and proud Prairie View A&M University Alumni (B.S. Electrical Engineering c/o 2001 & M.S. Electrical Engineering c/o 2004), Ben Franklin moved to the D.C. area to use his Engineering Degrees to tackle technical problems for the Federal Government for over 15 years. He is loved by many people that he met in the D.C area, and he will be missed. Not only was Ben beloved as a person, but he was held in EXTREMELY high regard as the expert in his subject matter.
I wish that I had a way to share with his family exactly how many people's lives Ben touched while he he was here. It's my hope that this page will help to show that in some way.
Due to the LARGE response of people wishing to help show support for Ben and his family, I am setting up this GoFundMe account to collect donations to contribute to an engineering scholarship at Prairie View A&M (PVAMU). Our goal is to reach $10,000 so that we can create a scholarship specifically in Ben's honor.
All contributions (big or small) are GREATLY appreciated. In the event that we do not meet the $10,000 goal, a donation will be given to the Engineering department of PVAMU.
We also plan to do something special for Ben's family, in an attempt to show them a fraction of the impact that Ben had during his time here.
I want to thank everyone for taking the time to show their support for Ben and his Family. As a fellow PVAMU alumni that migrated to the D.C. area, it was great getting to learn from Ben for the 9 years that I had the privilege to know him. His love for Blackberry, light-hearted attitude, dedication to the mission and aptitude for solving any problem was a blessing to witness and he will be MISSED.
Note: I will update this with his official obituary once it is released.
