Breoni loss her beautiful mother: Lakesha Johnson
The immediate family of Lakesha are humbly asking for financial contributions to go directly to Lakesha’s only child, her sweet daughter, the love of Lakesha’s life: Breoni Johnson. Any amount is appreciated and will go directly toward the continued care of Breoni as she continues her life without her mother who was her best friend, her #1 supporter and served as both of her parents. Lakesha Johnson affectionately known as “Kesha” passed away on February 27, 2021 due to a sudden unexplained episode of cardiac arrest. She was a fantastic mother, a loving daughter, a fabulous sister, an awesome auntie, and loyal friend. Her heart stopped for 4 minutes during her cardiac arrest and as a result she suffered irreversible brain damage. The hardest thing to do was to let Kesha go; but she would never recover the damage was too great and devastatingly her life support had to be withdrawn. She was so loved and cherished by so many but most of all by her only child: Breoni, who still needed her mommy. Kesha and her daughter Breoni were inseparable and had the most intense bond and love for one another. It was ALWAYS only Kesha and Bre. Kesha fought so hard to live and suffered through the immense pain and discomforts of her Lupus disease simply for her daughter. I can remember a year ago we almost lost Kesha and as she barely clung to her life Kesha’s exact words verbatim as she lay in the hospital in mind numbing pain were: “ I just don’t want to leave my baby”. The degree of heartbreak my niece, Kesha’s daughter is enduring is enough to level a city. They were each other’s everything. Kesha also had that same impact as a confidant and genuine loving family member and friend to so many.
We (Kesha’s immediate family) are given strength beyond what is normal to bare this great devastating loss and honor Kesha’s life by way of the love we lavish on Kesha’s daughter Breoni - Anyone who knows Kesha knows nothing mattered to her more than her daughter. Breoni is the shining light and gift that Kesha left us all. Kesha, the giver. We love and miss Kesha so much and our lives will never be the same, especially Breoni’s. Thank you all for the love and please continue to pray for our peace and healing as we need it more now than ever.
