The Beautiful Burns Family

Hi my name is Laura and my best friend Rebecca Burns is the most selfless person I know. She runs the Doncaster Autism Group for SEND families on Doncaster helping over 1000 families and works as Clinical Support Coordinator for Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals.

Rebecca and her husband Chris have an equally special little boy Ollie who is severely Autistic

The family have not had a holiday since pre covid and have had a family holiday of a lifetime booked which has been in the planning for over a year.

Unfortunately it was evident that on arrival in Benalmadina Holiday village, Ollie was not going to settle. A holiday in which the family have worked so hard towards.

Ollie was so distressed the next available flight was booked home.

Ollie is now home and happy. I don’t know how Rebecca and Chris are going to feel about this but we (friends of Rebecca and I) and her work family at DBTH feel that if we could raise a little bit to recoup some of the cost for the flights home and to be able to pay for a little Skegness Caravan Holiday (which Ollie adores) then it’s the least we can do for such an amazing selfless family
