The battle against Colorectal Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Jason, and I'm battling Colorectal cancer.
I was diagnosed with metastatic colorectal cancer on April 29th, 2022, three days after my 42nd birthday. After starting chemo on June 1, initial scans show the treatment is working! I'm raising funds for the upcoming costs that will occur with medical expenses and traveling to Mayo Clinic. We have been making trips to Mayo Clinic almost every month to figure out our plan of attack to destroy this cancer. We have a trip coming up that will be four days long with more scans, MRI and blood work, not to mention all the trips we have already made there. When we get the good word that the tumors are still shrinking, there is an excellent chance that there will be surgery on my liver that will happen to get rid of those tumors. They will decide if more chemo is needed or if another treatment plan is the way to kill the rest of the tumors in my body.
To top things off, I was recently laid off from my job without notice. We will have to go on COBRA or another insurance plan that is going to be very expensive, but I need insurance to keep the treatment on schedule and possibly save my life. All these raised funds will be used to cover the costs of insurance, hotels, and gas. Thank you in advance for all the support and help that has been given along the way. These funds will help out a ton and relieve some stress off us.
Thanks for joining us on this journey.
