The Barrett Family

Donation protected
Brandon Barrett and Shauna Barrett have two daughters, Emma and Hannah.  In December 2017 they were surprised to find out that  they were going to have   A new addition to the Family.  This came with much excitement, as their youngest daughter is 10 years old.  When Shauna was 16 weeks pregnant we were all waiting excitedly to find out what the gender of this sweet baby was going to be. We all got together and decided to have a big gender reveal party.  What should’ve been an exciting time for them, was met with tragic news.  The sweet baby girl that she is caring was diagnosed with a neural tube defect, Anencephaly.  We were all devastated, and heartbroken.  Anencephaly  is a defect that causes the neural tube to get blocked which causes the brain and skull to not fully form. The prognosis was inevitable she would not live after birth. The doctors then advised that a lot of women choose to abort, as  born-again Christian’s this was not  an option for Shauna and Brandon, they chose to allow God to be the final authority on this sweet baby’s life.  Shauna, Brandon Emma and Hannah all decided to name  this sweet baby girl  Mary Faithlynn Grace. Shauna is now 36 weeks pregnant and could possibly have Mary Any day now. They have already made arrangements with the funeral home.  They have found out that any time a child under the age of one year passes away the funeral home will do the services for free, however, they still have to pay for the burial plot, headstone, casket, and Embalming.  Shauna and Brandon are also small business owners. Brandon is a mechanic  in Danville and Shauna takes care of all the paperwork.  It is not a huge business that  makes tons of money, they are just hard-working Americans trying to make ends meet like everyone else. As some people may know when you own a small business a lot of money goes out  and unlike other jobs there is no paid time off, sickleave, or vacation days to take.  He will have to close the shop down during the birth and funeral that will follow.  I’m sure there will be a couple of weeks taken off for the grieving process and I know Brandon wants to take some time off to be with his wife, however, the bills will not stop coming so we are asking anyone that can give a few dollars to help with some of the expenses and to be a blessing to this family we would greatly appreciate it. God bless.
