Friends, family, and film-lovers! We need your support to raise money for our upcoming Feature Film "The Banshee".
About THE BANSHEE
"The Banshee" is a psychological horror set in the dreamy surroundings of an abandoned 16th century church in the English countryside. The film follows Lola, a weary-eyed young woman who has recently lost someone close to her. However, her grief is not the only thing that threatens to hurt her. The film focuses on trauma, loss, trust, and growth.
Where will your donations go?
Your donations will go to fund the procurement of filming equipment, locations, and festival fees.
- A donation to the Church of St Mary Magdalen
- Specialised lighting equipment
- Camera equipment inc. shoulder rig, lenses, etc.
- Film Festival entrance fees
- Food to keep our actors happy!
Any money left over will be directed towards sending our film global and submitting to International Film Festivals!
What do you get from your donation?
All donors will be properly and fairly thanked with credits at the end of the film.
On top of this, those that donate £100 will receive a special thanks and an invite to visit the set.
Further, for those very, very generous people that donate £250 and above, you will receive an Executive Producer credit, and be invited to an early screening of the Film!
About the Team
- Alex Purves: Writer/Director, Alex will be using the film for his portfolio towards a Masters in Filmmaking at London Film School, and beginning his filmmaking career. Alex is our resident cinephile and is working tirelessly to deliver you, the audience, an original and unsettling horror film.
- Sidni Brener: Director of Photography/Editor, Sid has spent 2 years working for a Television production company, but is now looking to take the leap into films! Sid will be using the film to kickstart his career as a DoP in the Film Industry.
- Joshua Hines: Producer/Sound Designer, Josh has experience working in sound design and has recently completed a BA in Music from King's College London. His role as a producer will oversee the organisation and successful completion of the film. He will be using the film as a stepping stone into the world of producing, with the final goal of creating a Production Company.
Filming will begin on July 15th 2024 and will be documented by the team with regular updates and posts to social media.
