"The Banana Man" aka Dave Williamson's fight

Donation protected
For those of you who don't know me, I am Dave's daughter. I don't really know where to start with this and honestly never thought I'd be in the position to need this...

Anybody that knows my dad, knows that he's always smiling even when he doesn't want to be. Always making jokes and even telling the same one more than once (shh don't tell him we know)! He spent his early career days working down in a chemical plant, BP, in Hackettstown New Jersey until being laid off somewhere around 1990. After that he went to school to get his CDL license and the rest is history. He drove for D. Theodoredis Wholesale Bananas, also know as Chiquita for 25+ years and became known as the local "Banana Man". He used to drop off cases of, and bags with hands of bananas through the neighborhood, local business, and anybody else he could give to instead of them being thrown away.

While my brother and I were growing up, he taught youth sports through the Easton Midget Association and The Boys and Girls Club of Easton.

I preface with that to say this...About 3-4 months ago my dad started having some breathing issues. At first he chalked it up working outside in the various weather events and just didnt think much of it. Since it wasn't getting any better, he set up his first of many appointments of. He has since gone through ultrasounds, X-rays, Cat scan, and most recently a P.E.T scan. Finding a little more information of what was going on along the way.

He was told they could see a mass on his left lung that looked significant enough in size to have concern. He has his biopsy coming up this week and has already been diagnosed at minimum with Stage 3 Lung Cancer.

In two weeks he will be starting radiation 5 days a week and Chemo treatments 1 day a week, for a 5-week to see if the cancer responds. Since the left lung is so intune with the heart and blood vessels, and the location of the mass they simply can't do surgery.

It's even hard to type any of that

He will not be able to work since his job is labor-intensive. They aren't necessarily close to his doctors up in the Scranton area with each trip being 35-45 minites one way. We are looking into additional transfer options, but Terry will also be missing some work to assist with appointments.

Each radiation treatment we already know is $70/day, plus he has bills he is already receiving from the previous testing, and then whatever the Chemo costs will be.

I know as a country most people are still trying to stay afloat so it is with a heavy heart that I'm asking if anybody can spare anything, it would be so much appreciated. As his family, we will do all that we can, just asking for a little help and that's never easy...
