The Baham's Mission Trip To Zambia

Family, Friends, and Brothers-Sisters in Christ,
Greetings to you All!
We (The Bahams) are taking the first step of faith on our path of becoming Long Term Missionaries. Over the past 2 years, our desire has been to serve the Lord and to trust in his Word. God has called us to “Go and make disciples of all”. The call to the Mission Field is exciting, however, challenging at the same time. Logan was called to Missions since the day he gave his life to Christ 10+ years ago, and I was called to Missions on the day I surrendered my life to Christ, 2 years ago. Logan has desired to go back to the mission field since he came back from a mission’s trip in Uganda in East Africa. We believe the Lord has brought us together for purpose more than just living in the American Dream. A friend of ours had met up with us to catch up on each other’s lives after he had been gone on a mission’s trip for almost 3 months. He began to minister to us and remind us that we are never going to “walk by faith and not by sight” if we don’t allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in the ways He has been trying to. Our friend communicated with us about a mission’s trip that is happening at the end of this year 2021, and he thought we would be a great fit for the mission’s trip. We have prayed about this Mission’s Trip, and asked God to take away any “earthly boundaries” that would prevent us from taking the next step. When I first gave my life to Christ, I personally had never felt like I was capable or “ready” to be the person the Lord could use to not only spread the truth of the Gospel but also to be able to love others the way He has always loved me. For Logan and I, over the years, not only have we grown in our relationship with the Lord but also have come to terms with the fact that we will never be “ready” in the way we intend to. All we need to be “ready” for is to trust in Him and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us wherever He is calling us. On 09/30/21, Logan and I went to church thinking it would be a normal night of learning the word, however, during the time of worship, we were awoken by the fact that we had been putting off the Lord’s calling in our life to focus on things of this world and not His Kingdom. Logan and I have prayed for discernment and wisdom on what He was trying to tell us and when and where He is trying to lead us. After prayer and many conversations between each other and close friends, Logan and I have put in our applications to go on a 14-day mission trip to Zambia, East Africa. We have been praying that the Lord will give us peace and faith with the financial aspect of this Mission. We truly believe if it is in God’s will, He will provide. "What is impossible with man is possible with God." Luke 18:27 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans” Proverbs 16:3. First and foremost, we ask that you keep us lifted in your prayers, as we’ll need all your prayers during our Trip and next steps in Life. We also thank you for your partnership, in supporting us financially, or by sharing this post to help us go and further the Great Commission! Our Trip is in December 2021! Your love and support mean the WORLD to us! We are excited to share the Gospel to the World in search of people who desperately need God’s love and salvation. We appreciate your continued Love and Support, during this time of Faith, as we take our first step into helping further the Kingdom of God.
