The Bagz Recovery Fund
On December 18th Joey Bagz sustained multiple fractures of his fibula and a severely dislocated ankle after a fall. He has already undergone one surgery to repair the fractures to his fibula and correct his ankle, and will require at least one more to reattach ligaments and retrieve bone fragments, as well as intense physical therapy to get him back on his bike.
Anyone who rides BMX knows it’s not for the money, it’s for the love of the sport, and the harsh reality is accidents like this happen and leave riders with crippling medical bills and other associated expenses.
Riding is Joey’s passion, career, and life. He has no other source of income, and his entire professional and personal livelihood and identity revolve around his bike and the people BMX brings into his life.
Any and all help, including emotional support and positive vibes, sent his way are appreciated in a way words could never express. ❤️
