On Friday, January 12, 2018, Mike Baessler tragically lost his life. He was a husband, father and active member of the coummunity. He left behind his wife Lauren, and two young daughters, Madison and Sophia.
Coach Mike, as he was known to most, was extremely involved with Lanier Softball. He has been a board member for the last three years and has coached many young girls in the Lanier community for the last four years. When his girls moved on to travel softball, he still remained on the board. He was passionate about helping the program grow.
Coach Mike was always there to help when needed for his youngest daughter's team, GA Glory '07. He dedicated countless hours to not only help his own daughter but all of the girls on the team.
Lauren and the girls are in desperate need of financial assistance to help pay for funeral expenses and bills. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
