The Bacon Sisters (R.I.P. Dad)

Our Dad died suddenly in February 2025 - he was found passed away in the van he was “living” in. He was homeless for years as he struggled with mental health, disability, and poverty. He had no life insurance, no will, and scant assets. Now, we are now trying to take care of things for him, including… • funeral (beyond available funding) • estate management & related, • finalizing accounts & debts, • clearing storage units, disposal, • towing & impound … and so much more. We are so grateful for the kindness of community organizations, family & friends, and strangers in this journey so far. But my sister and I have been filling the gaps to cover costs, and it’s hurting our families. We’re raising funds to help us with the costs of this process, and hoping to also soon plan a Celebration in Dad’s memory with family, friends and members of his community.
