The Awesome Anna Barrow

Hi everyone, my name is Simon and I've set up this fundraiser for my cousin The Awesome Anna Barrow.

Reason - Anna was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease a few years back an incurable condition that progressively damages parts of the nervous system and gets worse over time. Due to the symptoms that come with MND a lot of adapting and sacrifices have had to be made by both her and her husband Martyn. However over the last few years both Anna and Martyn have took it upon themselves to use their personal MND journey to put a positive spin on it and help spread awareness of this terrible disease from doing podcasts, interviews across both national radio and TV, speaking at public events and even organising fundraisers for the MNDA all while dealing with their own personal battles.

Anna is legit the most loving, selfless and strongest person I know and even though she takes the piss out of me on a regular i love her to bits and want to do a little something for her and give back a small token. So the money raised from this will go directly to her and her family to do with as they wish as a thank you for all the hardwork they do spreading awareness and fighting the fight for not only themselves but for anyone that's been affected by MND in whatever shape or form.

The Challenge - Myself and a few close family and friends will be putting our running shoes on and completing a 10k run around Tatton Park on the 9th August this year. I'm sure those doing it with me will agree none of us are built for distance running so it's going to be a tough challenge for us. But that is nothing compared to what Anna and anyone living MND goes through on a day to day basis. So we'll get across that finish line one way or another, raise some awareness along the way and raise some money for The Awesome Anna Barrow.
