ABOUT US
THE AUDEROUS GROUP (TAG) was founded by a group of young African American leaders committed to uplifting their community. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, we are building a nonprofit focused on youth development, adult education, and artist development through a prep school model for people in marginalized communities.
Our school will have 13 departments and serve two main groups:
Adults (17+): We'll focus on helping them earn their GED and support their educational or artistic goals
Youth (16 and under): We'll offer programs that build self-worth, encourage big dreams, and expose them to new possibilities.
We’ll train students in 11 artistic fields and help them find scholarships and grants to further their education. To remove barriers, we’ll also provide housing support in the form of rent vouchers for students 17 and older, so they can focus on school without worrying about where they’ll live.
OUR GOAL
Join Our Movement: Empowering Communities Through Education and Art.
We invite you to become a pivotal part of a groundbreaking initiative — THE AUDEROUS GROUP (TAG). Based in Atlanta, Georgia, TAG is more than just a school; it’s a vibrant community center dedicated to empowering marginalized families through comprehensive education and dynamic artistic expression.
At TAG, we believe that education paves the way to success, while art unlocks the potential for self-expression and new revenue opportunities. By integrating these powerful tools, we create a sustainable framework that not only fosters personal growth but also builds stable, independent futures for individuals and their families.
Our vision is bold: to establish a brick-and-mortar facility that serves as a beacon for youth development, adult education, and artist empowerment, all designed to combat issues like homelessness and illiteracy through an innovative educational and housing incentive program.
We are currently embarking on the crucial first phase of our journey—obtaining nonprofit status and securing our 501(c)(3) certification. We also need our logo done, EIN number, fundraiser permit, and to incorporate the school. To achieve this, we aim to raise $3,500. This initial funding will lay the groundwork for building a space that uplifts and transforms lives.
Your support can ignite real change. By uniting as a community, we have the power to build a future where every individual has the opportunity to learn, create, and thrive. Join us in this inspiring mission and help turn our vision into reality.
Together, we can build a brighter tomorrow. We are powerful in numbers.
THE PROGRAM
Our program is focused on fighting teenage and adult illiteracy and homelessness. We created a prep school that combines education and artist development, along with an incentivized housing program for people ages 17 and up.
Students in our program can receive rent vouchers to help pay their current rent or get an apartment. To qualify, they must attend the school to further their education or develop their artistic skills.
By gaining more education, students become more skilled and better prepared for good jobs. Without a stable home, it's harder to succeed in work or school. Since rent is often the biggest expense, our program helps students focus on learning without the stress of housing costs.
We also offer scholarships to help students pay for trade schools, colleges, universities, and art schools. Our goal is to prepare both youth and adults for higher education and lifelong success.
Through education and the arts, we aim to build stronger lives and communities. This mission is at the heart of THE AUDEROUS GROUP (TAG) Initiative—my life’s work and legacy.
THE DREAM
Join Us in Building a Dream
Currently, our school exists only on paper, but with your support, we can bring it to life. We are raising $3,500 to complete the necessary steps to establish our nonprofit status, including incorporation, securing a business license, developing a logo, obtaining an EIN, filing for 501(c)(3) recognition, and purchasing essential equipment. These steps will lay the foundation for creating a physical location for our school.
We are seeking funding through public donations, government grants, and corporate partnerships. In addition, 80% of the proceeds from my newly published poetry book, Catalog of Expressions: Passion, Strength, & Pain, will be dedicated to supporting the school.
While additional funding will be needed for operational costs once we open our doors, we are developing sustainable revenue streams to ensure long-term success.
HOW CAN YOU HELP
We are looking for lifetime donors to help us grow and sustain the school throughout its existence. WHO AM I?
My name is Auderous Wilson, founder and director of THE AUDEROUS GROUP (TAG). As an artist and poet, I share my work under the name DukeWilson2.0, which you can follow on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
I am a self-taught artist specializing in abstract design and poetry, gifts I consider God-given. Without formal training from higher-learning art institutions, I honed my skills through passion, persistence, and faith. Born and raised in Adamsville on the west side of Atlanta, Georgia, I grew up in a hardworking, single-parent household. Despite facing the challenges of poverty, I remained healthy, hopeful, and committed to my dreams.
Since childhood, I envisioned using my creativity to uplift communities, especially through art, education, and business development. I always believed in the power of education and dreamed of building opportunities for others who, like me, grew up with limited resources.
Although life's circumstances delayed my dreams, they never died. Today, at 44, I continue to work toward my purpose. I have been privileged to contribute to outreach programs like Jerusalem’s House and The Star Party, supporting art and community-building initiatives. I now feel called more than ever to make a significant impact through education and the arts.
Art is in my bloodline, stories from my family’s roots in Alabama and Mississippi tell of rappers, writers, actors, dancers, and entrepreneurs. I am proud to carry that legacy forward. I believe that education and artistry together create unstoppable potential. My mission is to help communities thrive through both, empowering the next generation to embrace their talents and their intellect.
I am a victim of teenage abandonment, homelessness, and joblessness. I pursued my educational journey later years in life. I graduated from GED school in 2018. I also graduated from Ashworth College with my Event Planning diploma in 2018 with honors, I also graduated from Ashworth College with my Interior Decorating diploma in 2019 with honors. I also graduated from Purdue University Global with my bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Project Management in 2022 with Magna Cum Laude. my journey shows that it's never too late to pursue your dreams if I can do it anybody can and that's what THE AUDEROIUS GROUP (TAG) is all about.
Together, we can build a brighter future—through the beauty of art and the power of education.
