*Update!* We are going into our 3rd month of being open in West Akron. After observations over this time we have decided to go ahead with a full service refill bar! What does this mean? It means less work for YOU when you come in. We will have more options for customization of our more widely sold products. Picture a coffee bar, refill style! With this being our latest project, we need some help moving it along and getting all the pieces in parts in place as we navigate through slower summer sales and in general new business costs.

Hi! I’m Jen, owner of The Ash House. Over the last few years I’ve built a small business including all natural artisan soap, an eco-boutique, and online sales of vintage goods. In 2023 our plan is to grow from online sales and vendor markets to a brick and mortar soap studio and refillery, bringing a zero-waste, or at least waste-less space to consumers in Akron saving thousands of plastic bottles from heading to the landfills and oceans.

Our newly leased spot in Wallhaven is the perfect location to make these dreams come true. Despite having a good start with our soap making supplies and equipment, we need a little extra funding to bring in the rest of the high quality refillery goods to you.

Funding will be used to help us work with other businesses that have close the loop systems to prevent extra plastic from going into landfills. This includes purchasing bulk cleaning and self care products as well as the displays needed for a retail store.
