The ARTery Pottery Studio & Gallery

Second update! Curating the gallery has been it's own set of joy and pain; we're honored to provide a fresh and easy gallery space for artists in our community that are struggling to sell right now. Our Grand Opening pARTery was a smashing success! Many thanks and much love to everyone who popped in and celebrated with us on Aug. 25th.
We currently have 16 local ARTists in our gallery. The pottery studio is thriving with new students every week. Your continued donations and support mean the world to us; our dreams and goals extend beyond updated signage and our lil baby website (ARTeryPottery.com).
Every SHARE is pure love, every DONATION encourages & helps us grow.

Update: Within one week we successfully moved all of our studio equipment into The ARTery! I can't even begin to thank all the friends and family who've shown up to help. Now that the studio is up and running we can focus on getting our gallery stocked with local art. We can also hone in on our more specific needs now that we're working in our new space. The hurdles we've yet to jump are made less intimidating because we know our community supports us.

We're raising money to help establish a new pottery studio & gallery in the Quad Cities! Our new location will be at 3913 14th ave, Rock Island in the former Bike & Hike building! We'll need funds for rent, utilities, and modifications for safety and efficiency in our new space. Please consider donating, any amount helps.

Shares = love!

The ARTery Pottery Studio & Gallery will serve artists in our community by providing a public clay studio and gallery space at a time when the Quad Cities is lacking in venues for artists. Carolyn Krueger has run shared ceramics studio spaces since 2004, and with this new location, is looking to bring a safe, professional-level workspace to the public. In partnership with Jenna Isbell (The Short Potter and Print & Clay) and Tara Malnar (FireSprite Pottery), we’re planning to revive The ARTery brand and grow beyond our separate studios and gallery spaces to combine our skills.

PRODUCTS + SERVICES:

-Gallery space for local artists.

-Shared Ceramics Studio space for members providing space, tools and equipment for emerging artists and local potters.

-Collaborative atmosphere of learning and sharing for ceramics hobbyists and professional artists.

-Public workshops and individual classes for wheel-throwing and hand-building ceramics techniques.

-Art workshops led by local artists and artisans for the public featuring a variety of mediums and subject matter (including setting up an online presence, and how to photograph and sell your work).
