For my 30th Birthday, I'd like to forgo any gifts, drinks, or flamed cakes and instead draw your attention to The Art Garage: a brand new theatre company dedicated to producing works by and for the Transgender and gender non-conforming community.
Workshopping has already kicked off! Through its Salon Series, The Art Garage has brought together playwrights with artists and mentors to read and provide feedback on plays still being developed. Now, the group plans to stage some of the works received, and they need help ensuring that all the artists involved are properly paid for their work.
With your donation, you help The Art Garage:
1. Secure a venue for their inaugural performance
2. Pay artists equitably for their labor
