The Archinal Family needs our help!

Hello everyone, I'm Danielle Kundert and I'm asking our Lincolnview and surrounding community to help a teacher/Family in need!

Mike Archinal is the Band Director for Lincolnview Local School and this past Sunday August 6th in the early morning Mike and Leanne's oldest son Joshua was in a catastrophic auto accident in Illinois. Here is a summary from Mike about the accident:

"On Sunday, Aug. 6th, Josh Archinal was involved in a life-threatening car accident while he was on vacation with friends near Chicago, Ill.

Josh was leaving early Sunday morning to catch a flight for his vacation to Hilton Head Island when his accident occurred. He was immediately transported by fire and EMS to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill where he went into immediate surgery to relieve a blood clot and brain bleed. In order to release the pressure from brain swelling, a portion of his skull was removed.

Since his operation, he has made baby steps improvements but remains in critical condition. Though he is stable, he still has a long road ahead. He is currently un-responsive to verbal commands/requests (move toes, squeeze hands, etc) but does respond to “pinching” to all four extremities. Also, he is showing improved pupil respond to light.

The prognosis is we're looking at MONTHS in the hospital and possibly transferring to a level 1 neurological trauma center in the Chicago area.

We remain hopeful but are unsure of how long his recovery could take or when he will wake up. But we trust in our prayers and are thankful for our wonderful community for all their support and prayers. "

Mike and Leanne moved to the Lincolnview community in 2021 and dove right into service. What they have done and continue to do for the Lincolnview Band program is nothing short of amazing. I know I'm excited to hear and see their new steel drum line! Mike and Leanne they have 5 beautiful children: Joshua, Austin, Emma, Hannah and Jacob. Not only are they active with the Lincolnview community, the family is also active with their church,Trinity Friends, where they help with worship and children's ministry.

I'm asking our community to help the Archinal family with expenses: travel expenses for Mike and Leanne to be with Josh in Illinois and to help with medical expenses and the cost of recovery for Josh.

Let's show the Archinal family what it truly means to be a part of our community and give what we can to help our neighbors in need! I know we can do it!
