My daughter Apryl and her husband Kyle recently lost their home and all of their precious belongings in the Santa Cruz Mountains wildfire caused by the CZU lightning complex. 

On Wednesday August 19th at 2am in the morning, Apryl and Kyle were suddenly awoken by a knock on the door, warning them that they had to evacuate immediately.

Though we are so grateful they got out safely, they sadly suffered a tremendous loss.

Just last year Apryl and Kyle celebrated ten years together by getting married and moving into this home in the Santa Cruz mountains; fulfilling their dream. They spent the last year making it their own by cultivating the land with beautiful  vegetable and flower gardens, building a redwood garden gate and fencing, and so much more. In addition to their home, they also lost their tool shed, including the tools for Kyle’s landscaping business. 

As the proud and independent individuals they are, they reluctantly agreed to ask for help through GoFundMe, after realizing the scope of their loss.
