As many have learned by now we have lost a bright sparkling and colorful light in this world. Angela “Angie” Fletcher passed away peacefully at her home on July 5, 2021 after a brief illness.
Angie had the most beautiful spirit, the brightest smile and the most infectious laugh. Angie was many things but most of all she was a selfless giving friend and loved one. Angie always had time to listen, a hand to help and a shoulder to cry on. Angie was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Angie had a deep rooted faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that she inherited from her mother who preceded her in death. The only solace anyone can find in Angie’s passing is that she has been reunited with her mom whom she missed dearly.
In her passing Angie leaves behind the most precious gifts this world gave her and that is her three children and daughter-in-law. Ashley and her wife Nefertiti, her son Granville, and her wild spirited child Patricia. (Angie’s words not mine). Angie’s children are heartbroken and devastated by her untimely passing. Angie was their world.
As devoted as she was to her children Angie was as equally devoted to her Police family. As a member of the Anne Arundel County Police Department for nearly 16 years Angie had a very large, loving and loyal following. Angie was a friend to all she met and has left a long and indelible impression on those who knew her.
Angie loved working at Western District however her career path changed as her division was transferred to the Anne Arundel County Department of Detention Facilities. In usual Angie style it did not take long for her to welcome her new co-workers into her family.
To know Angie was to love her. Now is the chance for her friends, Police and Detention families to show Angie’s children just exactly how much their mother meant to us all.
