The Angel Memorial Ball raising money for EACH

Hi there,

My name is Kyra and I’m mum to Kaiden Lee Griffin (left in above photo) and I work alongside Nick Loades, dad to Ellie Loades (right), both who were taken too soon.

Kaiden passed away in October 2021 aged 8 and Ellie in November 2013 aged 16.

Once a year myself and Nick like to give ourself something to focus on and help get us through the year, This has turned to be in the form of a Memorial Ball at the stunning Lady Elizabeth Wing at Holkham Hall. We have just completed our 3rd and most successful event there. We decided that coming together once a year to honour and remember our angels has become the most special night and we would love to be able to continue this as an annual event.

All money raised is donated to East Anglia’s Childrens Hospice (EACH), Each helped and continue to help our families in ways some people can’t even imagine. If I wasn’t receiving the counselling and access to the hospice as I do I really don’t know where I would be. They were incredible through both Kaidens and Ellie’s lives and made it possible for both of them to pass at home, in there safest and most comfortable place and for that we will forever be grateful. So we love the thought of being able to hold such a beautiful evening remembering both Kaiden and Ellie whilst also being able to raise money to send to this incredible charity that help so many families and children.

As you can imagine an event like this costs a lot to put on and although so many businesses and companies have been extremely generous and accommodating with the ever rising costs of everything we decided we needed to do more this year to ensure we can put the event on.

A small group of us will be doing events and fundraising throughout the year (2023) and raising money to put towards holding the event at the end of the year. This should then means we will be able to raise a substantial amount to send to EACH.
