Hey everyone!
First off, we hope that you are all healthy, safe, and doing your best to make sense of these confusing times.
We at The Anchored Inn and Captain Dan's have had the distinct pleasure of serving our ever evolving community for the better part of a decade now. We never could have imagined what this all was going to grow into when we first opened on our quiet stretch of Waterbury Street and (five years later) on our corner on Nostrand Ave. From the nights of shows at The Acheron to bottomless mimosas at brunch, late night hot wings and dance parties or drinks after band practice, we feel truly lucky to be a destination for so many of you and to have become part of your daily lives. A bar is nothing without its patrons, and we are so thankful for all of ours.
After closing last month due to COVID-19 the future became - and remains - very unclear. As soon as it is safe to start pouring pints and slinging cheeseburgers again we'll be ready! But that's where you come in:
For the first time we are reaching out to our amazing community to ask for help to make sure that when that momentous day arrives we are fully prepared and able to open our doors. Asking for help is never easy, and we know that we are far from alone in needing a helping hand right now, but if you are able to contribute we are truly grateful. If you can't but happen to know some folks who could, please pass this along.
To say thanks to those of you who are able to go above and beyond with your donation we are coming up with some pretty neat gifts. Check back for an update in the coming days to see what they will be!
