The Ana Isabel Abarca Fund

Hi, I am an 8th grade teacher. One of my former amazing students is Rodrigo. Rodrigo graduated from Middle School in 2021. This was a great day of celebration for him as he became the first in his family to go to High School. On the day of graduation, Rodrigo celebrated with his mom and dad, with pictures, smiles and dreams.

These dreams were made possible by Ana. A hardworking, loving mother of three, who fought her entire life to ensure her children would have life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness-the American Dream. Tragically, soon after Rodrigo's graduation, his mother, Ana Isabel Abarca was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. This became a short and painful 6 month battle for her and her family and she lost the battle on February 27th, 2022.

Ana leaves behind her husband and three children, ages 15, 9 and 1. The Abarca family resides in San Jose, California and they are using all their funds for Ana's memorial services. Ana's husband is now a single father with three children who is working to provide for his family; however, the expenses of living in California, coupled with funeral services, create an impossible financial situation. In tribute to the hope created by Ana for her children to have a bright future, the family asks for any and all help in this time of crisis.

This GoFundMe story is a matter of keeping this family's dreams from being shattered further. Allowing Ana Isabel Abarca's dreams for these three children to live on and not allow this dreadful disease to decimate the family further than it already has. Please step up and help.

Hola, yo soy uno de los maestros de 8vo. grado de Rodrigo. Rodrigo es un estudiante increible. Rodrigo se graduó de escuela secundaria en el año 2021. Este fué un gran día de celebración para él, ya que fué el primero en ir a la escuela preparatoria. Ese día Rodrigo celebró con su familia, con fotos, risas y sueños.

Estos sueños fueron posible en parte por Ana, una madre que luchó toda su vida para asegurarse que sus hijos tuvieran vida, libertad y felicidad del sueño Americano. Desafortunadamente, después de la graduación de Rodrigo su madre fue diagnosticada con cancer en etapa 4. Estos fueron 6 meses dolorosos y en batalla para ella y su familia. Desgraciadamente ella perdió la batalla el 27 de Febrero del 2022.

Ana deja atrás su esposo y 3 niños de edades 15,9 y 1. La famila Benitez Abarca reside en San Jose, CA y ellos estan usando todos sus fondos para los servicios funerarios. El esposo de Ana ahora es un padre soltero con 3 niños el cual trabaja para proveer a su familia, aunque los gastos de vivir en California son costosos, más los servicios funerairos hace esto imposible para este padre poder completar.
