Update 05-28-24: Goal increase to account for CAD - USD exchange rate (0.73)

Hi, my name is Shallan and I created this fundraiser for a brave mother who needs help to get her family to safety. She and her family fled Khan Younis to Rafah, where they are all sheltering in a single room. Her husband was shot by the occupation forces, so she is the only adult in her family who is able to take care of everyone. As I'm writing this on May 24, only 150 aid trucks had been able to enter Gaza since the assault on Rafah began (source: Al Jazeera), so the lack of food and medical supplies is dire.

"My name is Inass Ali Saleh, my family (made of 10 members) and I have evacuated to Rafah and took a single room for rent. I can’t explain to you how difficult the situation is. There’s no gas that I can cook with that’s why I’m cooking on a made-up fire and I bake with my bare hands which caused me torn veins. My house ( in Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan-Yunis) was bombed and we tried to take with us couple things such as clothes and personal things, and the day we evacuated the IDF shot my husband but he’s taking his pills right now, and his condition is stable to a degree. My older son Mohammed has a condition which is a severe pressure in his eye and I’m taking care of everything and it’s so hard to bear at this point."

Iness and her family are suffering in a very difficult and dangerous situation. The only thing she has left in the world is her husband and children, whose lives are under threat every moment they remain in Gaza. The cost of evacuating to Egypt is $5000 USD per person, a cost they have no means of paying without us.
