The Allenby Family

I am writing this on behalf of my brother and sister and family. This passed month has been an extremely difficult one for them to say the least. My 3 year old nephew Atticus has had to undergo 2 major brain surgeries to repair a shunt he has in his brain that was failing. After the first repair, it failed again causing a second surgery which had looked hopeful. Until yesterday when he started experiencing lots of pain and other symptoms that indicate another shunt failure. He has been admitted back into children's hospital while he waits for another surgery. There are a lot of unknowns when it comes to his complex situation right now. On top of the emotional exhaustion that seeing your 3 year old go through multiple surgeries and long stays at children's hospital brings, my brother in law has had to take time off from work to be with his family and this has created financial difficulty as well. I am hoping we can come together as a community to relieve this stress for them. The daily drive to Vancouver on top of food expenses and hotel expenses so they can be close to their other children has been a large burden that they shouldn't have to bear on top of all the rest. We ask that if you can't give at this time, that you please join our family in praying for our sweet Atticus. Pray for the drs and surgeons as they come up with a treatment plan and guide their hands in surgery. And pray for peace over Devon and Amanda who are trying to stay strong for their children through this. If you have any questions please feel free to message me privately!
