Donations for the Alex Pepe mural
Donation protected
Alex Pepe, a much-loved teacher at Coleridge Primary School, passed away on 24th March 2023, age 33, following a courageous fight with Burkitt lymphoma. He taught at Coleridge from 2011 to 2018, influencing the lives of many young people throughout his life.
The staff at Coleridge loved Alex dearly. He remained a close friend to many of us here and we are heartbroken by his passing.
A group of teachers and friends of Alex are raising money to create a colourful mural on the outside wall in the Year 5/6 playground to honour his memory. We used this space to bring our Coleridge community together in a celebration of Alex's life last year, and we'd love to make this area of our school more vibrant. Alex loved tennis, so we want this mural to represent his passion for sport and the positive impact it can have on children.
Alex had a unique ability to see the potential in every child. He understood the importance of nurturing children in order to help them to flourish and to feel positive about who they are and what they could achieve. Alex always championed children who, at times, found school very challenging, never giving up on them.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to anyone who is able to donate, no matter how little, to this fund. Any additional money raised will be donated to Alex's chosen charity, Children with Cancer UK.
