the aftermath of being hit by a semi

My name is Heather and I am the mom of a wonderful, thoughtful, sweet 13 year old boy, who had the unfortunate luck of being hit by a semi truck when crossing in front of a stopped school bus outside our home Tuesday, May 30th, 2023.

He was pretty beat up, and made it through the surgery on his left foot on Wednesday, May 31st.

Nathanial transfered to Spaulding in Boston on Friday, June 6th. Our current estimation is two weeks before being sent home.

Nathanial loves 1000-2000 piece jigsaw puzzles, is a dedicated Xbox gamer, still plays on my PS2, and his favorite color is red. He loves getting giftcards in the mail.

P.S. I am absolutely worried about us being home and me going back to work, and leaving Nathanial on his own, too soon. I am just asking for any help for day to day expenses in the meantime, and everything not used is going into his savings for future expenses.
