During a family camping trip, just two days after his birthday, Dustin unfortunately had a serious biking accident and fractured a vertebrae in his neck. He was immediately brought to the hospital by ambulance and quickly transported down to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto so that he could be treated by a more specialized medical team. There he was fortunately able to have surgery to repair the damage. By the grace of God the prognosis is looking positive and he’s expected to heal over time. He will need to be off work for at least 6-8 weeks though, and will require care and support as he rests and does physiotherapy in order to heal and recover.

Anyone who’s met Dustin knows that he lives every day caring for the people around him. So many of us have been impacted by his genuine kindness and compassion, and his willingness to serve, encourage, and pray for others without a moment’s hesitation. Dustin and Shawna are truly a couple who pour out their lives daily for our community and those around them, and now they need some help.
