https://www.caricorbetowen.com/TheAddieProject.html The Addie Project is a grass-roots effort with one mission: Empower Sick Children. It's to honor the life of my neighbors daughter who was diagnosed a just 9 weeks old with Cystic Fibrosis.
Empower children with BIG scary medical diagnoses. Empower children whose lives revolve around hospitals, with big scary words and many awful medical treatments. The Project doesn’t only bring a smile to their little faces, it also gives them a powerful package of tools to kick-start their inner healing!
Groups of caring ‘Fairy-Helpers’ gather together and turn trash into colorful healing ‘Fairy-Houses’ that light up from within. These are hand-made and shipped free of charge along with a beautifully illustrated ‘Elf-Helper’ story entitled, “How to Kick-Start Your Inner Rainbow.” It teaches children ways they can ignite and empower their cells to heal. It takes them from feeling powerless, to feeling they are able to contribute positively to their health. Also included in the package is their very own ‘Guiding Elf-Helper.’
These gift parcels are sent to sick children between the ages of 5-11years old. This year, The Addie Project will help about 100 sick children throughout the USA with diagnoses ranging from Cystic Fibrosis, to Cancer and Juvenile Arthritis, with future plans to expand.
We need funds for supplies and to mail out the packages, for posters, to make a video, to create an app and to expand both within the USA and to other countries.
