Support Our CSUMB Senior Film: The 5th Commandment
Help Bring Our Story to Life!
We are a team of passionate senior film students at California State University, Monterey Bay, working tirelessly to bring our capstone film, The 5th Commandment, to the screen. This project is more than just a graduation requirement, it’s a labor of love, dedication, and creative ambition.
What is The 5th Commandment About?
After a family tragedy, Michael, a man burdened by unresolved resentment, grapples with his fragmented childhood memories. As he tries to mold them into a meaningful eulogy and legacy for his father, an unexpected encounter compels him to confront his inherited trauma and flaws, setting him on a journey toward grace and healing.
This story delves into the complexities of family, grief, and the struggle to understand the past while shaping our future. The 5th Commandment explores how the trauma we inherit from our parents shapes our identities, even when we don’t fully understand it.
Why We Need Your Help:
Independent filmmaking is an incredible creative journey, but it also comes with financial challenges. As student filmmakers, we are doing everything we can to bring this vision to life, but we need your support to cover essential production costs. Every donation—no matter how small—helps us take one step closer to making this film a reality. Whether you contribute financially, share this page, or simply spread the word, we appreciate your support in bringing The 5th Commandment to life.
Your generosity helps support emerging filmmakers and brings fresh, meaningful stories to the screen. We are beyond excited to share The 5th Commandment with you in 2025, and we can’t wait to take you on this journey with us!
Thank You!
