I was Chairman of the GWMTA who, in 2016 with the help of 9 Veteran's and 3 siblings of the Fallen (R.I.P Jamie Dowling, son of Sgt Mick Dowling MM), on our 25th Anniversary unveiled a beautiful Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in memory of the "47 Fallen" who's souls are still out in the desert, colleagues who have subsequently passed away, and those still fighting their own battles on a daily basis. We raised £75,000 with help from the Kuwaiti Ambassador and people of

Kuwait.

It has been nearly 10 years now, and she is beginning to show her age, weather beaten, pointing between the named stones collapsing and the info-boards are nearly invisible.

So, to that end, and hopefully in time for our 35th Anniversary Service on Sunday 1st March 2026 we are trying to get her back to her original state that the guy's whose names adorn it have a fitting tribute once again.

It is an award winning Memorial, and it is OUR Memorial, so please dig deep, donate if you can, and share the Fundraiser. I will be approaching the Ambassador again on our behalf.
