Break the Cycle of Period Poverty in Ghana — Support 500 Girls in Sogakope, Volta Region.
At The Britney Tachie Foundation, we believe every girl deserves to manage her period with dignity, confidence, and without missing school.
Yet across Ghana, many young girls continue to face period poverty — lacking access to sanitary products, menstrual health education, and basic hygiene resources. This often leads to school absenteeism, discomfort, the use of unsafe alternatives, and stigma surrounding menstruation.
For the 2026 Pads Campaign, we are raising GH¢33,170 to provide 500 schoolgirls in Sogakope, Volta Region with menstrual hygiene and self-care kits that will help them stay healthy, confident, and focused on their education.
What Each Girl Will Receive
Each menstrual hygiene kit will include:
✅ Sanitary pads
✅ Underwear
✅ Soap
✅ Tissue
✅ Wipes
✅ Exercise book
These items are carefully selected to support girls’ menstrual and personal hygiene, and continued participation in school during their periods.
In addition to distribution, the campaign will also provide:
Comprehensive menstrual hygiene education
Personal hygiene education
Establishment of a Pad Bank in the schools to support girls beyond the campaign day
Our Impact So Far
Since 2021, the Britney Tachie Foundation has reached
