The 2023 Joanne Benton WEF Walk

The Wilmington Educational Foundation is thrilled to announce the 2023 Joanne Benton WEF Walk. The Walk reinforces WPS’s belief that physical activity and physical education enhance health and academic success.
Students are encouraged to ask family & friends to sponsor them in this walk. Kids are invited to wear costumes, favorite sports team shirts, or orange and black attire for the walk. Parents are welcome to watch and take pictures. Since the first Walk in 2009, this K-5 fitness walk has become WEF’s largest fundraiser. Fundraising dollars support the annual STEM Fair and Art Fair as well as funding in the areas of Technology, Curriculum, Educator Exploration and Miscellaneous Grants.
