Efren & Temmy Alejo Final Cancer Expenses

My name is Whitney, and I am raising funds for my co-worker, Efren Alejo, and his wife, Temmy, who were both diagnosed with different forms of cancer 2 years ago. I am pleased to announce that Efren and his wife, Temmy, have recently been told by their doctor that they are both cancer-free!!!! It has been such a grueling and unique experience for this couple to both be diagnosed with cancer at the same time and fight this battle together. They have now come out of the other side of this battle 2 years later cancer-free and praising God!

Efren and Temmy are now in remission and in the "maintenance" phase of their cancer-free journey. This means that they will continue to travel to Seattle Integrative Cancer Center every 6 weeks where Temmy will continue to receive chemo treatments for breast cancer remission, and Efren will continue to receive immunotherapy treatments for colon cancer remission. Efren and Temmy will also continue to receive testing to be sure that their cancers have not returned. This maintenance will most likely continue to take place for the remainder of this year.

Efren will also undergo surgery sometime this summer to remove his colostomy bag and will need around 6 - 9 weeks to recover.

Although we are praising God for this miracle, the financial battle that Efren and Temmy still face in their remission phases is still a tall order! Efren's and Temmy's health insurances, along with many of your past donations, have helped tremendously in facing the financial battle of fighting cancer so far. Efren and Temmy are needing just a little more help financially as they prepare to hurtle over one of the last barriers of this battle.

Although Efren's and Temmy's health insurances do cover much of their financial burden, it does not cover everything. To help pay for transportation to and from Seattle, as well as the remaining cost that insurance will not cover of their cancer remission treatments, Efren and Temmy are in need of $5000 to help get them over this final hurdle.
