Thatcher Welker was one of the brightest, most unique, and driven kids I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Thatcher's passions ran strongest when he found a new hobby and he found them often. He was a brilliant self-taught musician, an accomplished mountain biker, and creator of some of the funniest home movies I have seen.

Thatcher's curiosity and zeal to learn were awe inspiring. He could tail-whip a BMX bike off a ramp that he built, while explaining how to edit layers of music on garage band, all while watching a documentary on bizarre reptiles of Australia. Energetic, quirky, fun, and fearless. This is the Thatcher I will always remember.

Today his mom, dad, and three sisters found out that they have lost him to suicide. Neither friends nor family saw the sadness behind Thatcher's quick smile and contagious energy. We mourn with his family and are asking for help to ease some of the financial burden that comes with a major tragedy. Any amount will be used to cover funeral expenses.
