Hello, I'm Jami Jo Seibert, the wife of SSG Buddy Seibert and I am organizing this fundraiser for our fellow military family, the Newtons. Will served as a combat medic for the Illinois National Guard and was deployed alongside my husband overseas in 2020. Amidst the challenges of deployment, his wife Amy, my late friend Brittany Giacone ❤️ were such a support system for me and have continued to lean on one another in the even more challenging times since deployment ended as we all navigate our way through finding “normalcy” after deployment and the lasting impact it has on all involved. Now, the Newtons need our support more than ever. Their daughter Ashlyn who is just four years old, has been battling illness which was mistakenly diagnosed as a simple virus, however in the last three days additional tests revealed a parent's worst nightmare - a 4cm x 4cm tumor on the left side of her brain. Ashlyn underwent surgery today to remove the tumor, and we await pathology results to determine its severity. Amy and Will have selflessly served our communities and country, yet they would never ask for help themselves. But as they navigate through this difficult time, they are sure to encounter high medical bills, costs of hospital stays, and missed paychecks, and all their usual finances let's come together to ease their burden.
