My name is Biremi, and I am organizing a fundraiser for my grandmother's sister's grandkid, Thasanthiny Aathithan. Thasanthiny is 36 years old and lives in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka. Our community faces severe economic hardships, with many struggling to make ends meet daily. Thasanthiny has been diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease, along with her brother. Currently receiving treatment at the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital, she has received the devastating news that she needs kidney transplants as soon as possible, which cost around 45,000 CAD.
Due to financial struggles and poverty, Thasanthiny cannot afford this life-saving procedure. Through this GoFundMe page, we aim to raise enough funds to help her receive the transplant and give her a second chance at life.
