Meet Robin – our energetic and determined little boy with an incredible spirit.

Robin is our beautiful, strong-willed, and resilient little boy. Born at just 27 weeks, Robin came into this world far too early and faced challenges from his very first breath. As a result of complications during his early arrival, Robin suffered brain damage that led to a diagnosis of severe cerebral palsy.

Now 2 and a half years old, Robin is still unable to sit, crawl, or walk independently. While his peers explore the world on their own terms—running, playing, and discovering—Robin experiences life very differently. But what he lacks in physical ability, he more than makes up for with his bright spirit, infectious smile, and deep curiosity about the world around him.

We are incredibly proud of everything Robin has overcome, and we’re committed to helping him live his best life. But the reality is that the support he needs comes at a significant financial cost.

We are currently raising funds to provide Robin with a specialist manual wheelchair that will allow him to move independently for the first time in his life. This piece of equipment is more than just mobility—it’s a gateway to inclusion, to independence, and to self-confidence. It means Robin can move alongside his peers at nursery, explore the world on his terms, and begin to experience the joys of independent play and social interaction.

In addition to the wheelchair, Robin needs ongoing intensive therapies—including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and speech and language support—that give him the best possible chance at progress. There are also countless pieces of specialist equipment he needs along the way to support his posture, communication, and development.

Specialist wheelchair with harnesses and supportive inserts: £5,000

Supportive chair for shopping trolleys, park swings and chairs etc: £400

Therapy standing ladder: £200

Therapy walking bars: £400

Weekly physiotherapy for a year: £4,600
