Thanks for helping Sarah kick cancers butt!

So stoked you made it to this page and want to help out my beautiful friend Sare.

I wish with all my heart I didn’t even need to fundraise for this, but here we are…

 

Around 6 months ago one of my dearest and oldest friends visited her GP about some decreased movement in her left arm.

5 days later she was having major brain surgery to remove a tumour, which would then be diagnosed as the shitty C…cancer.

 

Sarah, her husband Steve and 18 month old daughters world was turned upside down and her community was also left in shock and heartbreak.

 

Sarah is still deep within treatment.

6 weeks of radiotherapy done.

Round 3 of 12 chemo treatments down.

Ongoing seizures and side effects.

 

On top of the mental, emotional and physical overwhelm and hardship, financial has been added to this list.

There is currently no known cure for Sarah’s brain cancer, but her and Steve aren’t giving up hope!! On top of radio and chemo treatment they have been researching and implementing many complementary therapies, treatments and supplements that can help prolong, and maybe even save her life. But they all come at a cost.

 

I want to still grow old with my bestie, and I don’t ever want her to be in a position to have to decide to not undergo testing or further treatments because money doesn’t allow it.

 

Your contribution will be so valuable, not simply because of the doors it can open for Sarah in terms of her well-being a treatment, but also communicating your support for this beautiful family in such a difficult time.

 

We never really know what is around the corner, but when we join together to support each other, we make a heartbreaking situation that little bit more bearable.

Sare and I often said as teenagers that we were going to be cool grannies that rode at the back of the bus when we were old, lets keep that dream alive!! xx
