A couple of weeks ago, my son went out to enjoy what he loves to do. Fishing with a bud. The morning took a tragic turn when he fell from the boat during an evasive manouver. After falling into the water, the propeller struck him, causing potentially life-threatening head trauma. With the quick actions of the driver and bystanders on the shore, he was pulled to safety, and medical help was called. Upon the arrival of the first responders, it was determined that he would require STARS services.

After reading up on STARS and the services they provide, we decided that we wanted to try to give back. We want to help make a difference and hope that our difference will save the life of the next mission.

The average mission cost to save a life is approximately $5,400. This cost is based on an average 90-minute return trip, which includes the medical supplies, personnel and fuel to recover an injured person and bring them to a medical facility for treatment. With your help, our goal is to raise this amount.
