Thank you to Frontline Healthcare Providers

Donation protected
What a year!  The COVID-19 Pandemic that we are all living through right now has completely turned our world upside down.  Everything has closed, EXCEPT hospitals and urgent care centers.  Everyone who works at hospitals, from the doctors, nurses, PAs, MAs, front office, back office, sanitation, etc, go into work daily to fight this pandemic as the rest of the world stands still.  We would like to thank them for what they do, not just during this time of crisis, but every single day.  What better way to thank them but by filling their bellies and also helping to stimulate our local economies by giving business to restaurants who have had their livelihood put on hold.

Our GoFundMe, pledges to use all donated money to order food from local, non-franchised, restaurants and have them delivered to hospitals close by.  We will reach out to hospitals to ensure they are able to accept the food donations first, once able, we will order food for delivery.  Although we will be starting with Los Angeles and Orange County hospitals (because we live here), we hope to expand our reach to other hospitals throughout the country, depending on how much we can raise.

Let's all band together, help our local small businesses, and thank our healthcare workers, all in one shot!

Thank you for your support!

A little bit about us...

Our family has a history that requires us to be thankful.  The reason we are alive is because others have helped us throughout our history.  Our parents were immigrants to the US during a dark time in Cambodian history.  My father was able to come as an Air Force helicopter pilot, my mom as an employee of the US State Department when communism took over her homeland, my aunts, uncles, and oldest cousins escaped their native land to a foreign camp and survived with nothing until America opened its arms to us.  Growing up, our large (huge!) family had very little, at one time everyone packed into a single roomed house.  We survived with the generosity of our adopted American family and the knowledge that we were in the land of opportunity.  As adults, we have thrived in various careers, but our successes did not come without help.  We are all products of a public education system.  We went on to public universities and jobs.  We are members of churches, temples, and organizations that helped us get through our darkest of times.  We have had incredible doctors, nurses, hospital staff, etc, literally save the lives of our family members.  We have also had the best healthcare workers ensure that family members passed with comfort and grace.  Our story is not dissimilar to many others, maybe even yours.  Society moves ahead only by reaching back to help those less fortunate catch up.  That is our mantra, we pledge to continue to serve humanity as best that we can.  #FIST #FamilyIsStrongerTogether
