Hi friends, As most of you know I took a break from the restaurant industry at the end of April of 2022. At the same time my grandmother, Marcela, moved in with me as well. I have been struggling to find a job over the last year and have not had much rest from caregiving. Her moderate stage dementia adds another layer of difficulty. I have tried to work as many side jobs as possible, but have had a hard time keeping up with the monthly expenses. Things have escalated further. SDG&E needs $2800 by September 7, 2023. I am behind on car payments and am constantly getting calls about the payments. There are several other bills that need to be paid before I can take a breath and not have the additional burden of our current financial situation. I know this is a big ask, but at this point I am trying to keep my apartment, car, utilities and pay down the other debts. I am not sure what else to do, which is why I have created this fundraiser.
